A Diamond Moment

One moment can mean more than a life,
if you learn to live and you learn how to die.
We pass through time like we are sand in a sieve;
falling through the holes; never again seen.
But our moments of truth, they stick in the web,
and they are put in our textbooks, and spoken and read.

Life is meant to be,
death is meant to free,
and together they dance,
from branch to branch,
upon the cosmic tree.

One man stood shaking on the edge of an abyss,
staring out at impossibility.
Another stood glowing on the shore of bliss,
then dived into eternal reality.

It’s not how much time you have,
but how much you make each moment worth.
A diamond second is worth a million dry husk years.
So pack up your hopes,
and,
throw away all your fears,
jump on the boat,
we’re gonna get out of here.
Don’t worry about your house,
it’s just a world;
you’re not the only occupant.
They’ll keep it clean, or muck about,
it’s nothing you need to worry about.
Many have come and many have gone,
but only a few have reached truth’s dawn.
While most stay happy in illusion’s night,
unaware who they are, why they live and die,
why they can’t reach the stars.
What’s more, they don’t care.
But life is meant to be
and inquiry is the key,
to find your true destiny.
You just have to wake up and see the beautiful reality.
